Biography
Alyona Budarina, artist and curator, was born in 1989 in Tolyatti.
2011 graduated from Tolyatti State University (Faculty of Fine Arts and Decorative Applied Arts).
2009 organizer of contemporary art festivals and exhibitions
2016 co-organizer of the apartment gallery vNORE
2016 graduated from “Free Workshops” at MMOMA (Moscow) and the School of Contemporary Art L-A-N (Moscow).
2017 graduated from the Performance School PyrFyr (Moscow)
Since 2016 has been teaching at the Laboratory of Performative Practices The Body as a Pretext for Art.
2021–2023 project leader at the Creative Center Golosova, 20.
In her artistic practice, she turns to social issues, autobiography, themes of identity and nostalgia. She works across media, creating graphic and pictorial works, collages, and engaging in performance.
Lives and works in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
